How does it work?
Microdermabrasion safely and painlessly removes surface layers of cells from the skin. The surface layers of skin are the thickened epidermis. Their removal stimulates new cell growth and allows younger cells to move to the surface, resulting in fresher looking skin. The initial effect is skin that is softer and slightly pink -as if you've been out in the sun or at the beach. The MegaPeel machine -the best that we here at Picone wellness & beauty have found on the market - uses fine crystals which are vacuumed across the skin into a closed container (from which they are easily discarded). The machine digital display allows us to vary the amount of crystals used, so that we can offer a range of peels, from gentle to more aggressive, helping you with any condition you want us to remedy. The MegaPeel's handpiece also draws blood and nutrients to the surface of the skin to feed the new cells. When the machine is used in ongoing treatments - usually six treatments one week apart - it stimulates collagen and elastin production in deeper tissue.
